This page tells you who runs B28 and how to contact us. We publish it because the EU e-Commerce Directive (2000/31/EC, Article 5) and the Estonian Information Society Services Act require the provider of an online service to make this information directly, easily, and permanently accessible. We keep it accurate and up to date.
The service provider
B28 is operated by B28 OÜ, a private limited company (osaühing) incorporated in Estonia and forming part of the European Union.
- Legal name: B28 OÜ
- Legal form: Osaühing (private limited company), Estonia
- Registered office: [registered street address, postal code, city, Estonia to be confirmed]
- Commercial register: Estonian Commercial Register (Äriregister), maintained by the Tartu County Court Registration Department
- Registry code: [registry code to be confirmed]
- VAT number: [VAT number to be confirmed, or "not VAT-registered" if below the registration threshold]
To complete before publication. The registered street address, the registry code, and the VAT status above are real values that must be confirmed and filled in before this page goes live. The registered geographic address and the registry code in particular are legally required under the e-Commerce Directive (Article 5) and the Estonian Information Society Services Act, and they also identify us as the data controller under the GDPR (Article 13). This page must not be published while the address remains in brackets.

We do not currently publish a public telephone number. Email reaches us directly and is the fastest way to a person.
What B28 is
B28 is a non-custodial crypto wallet. Your keys and your recovery phrase are generated and held on your own device, protected by your device security. B28 OÜ never holds, controls, or has access to your funds, and cannot move, freeze, reverse, or recover them. On-chain transactions are irreversible. The wallet lets you hold, send, and receive crypto across the supported networks, with a plain-language assistant and the Sentinel scam-shield that warns you about risky addresses and tokens before you sign.
Because B28 is non-custodial software with no intermediary holding your assets, B28 OÜ is not a bank, an e-money institution, a crypto-asset service provider (CASP), a custodian, an exchange, or a money transmitter, and holds no such licence. This reflects the position under the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA, Regulation 2023/1114) that fully decentralised, non-custodial software provided without an intermediary falls outside the regulated crypto-asset service perimeter (see MiCA Recital 22 and Recital 83). We keep this question under active review: where B28 earns a fee on an in-app swap or selects an on-ramp partner, we assess that activity against the MiCA Article 3 service definitions, and we will register or seek authorisation if and where the law requires it. We will never describe ourselves as regulated, licensed, or supervised unless and until that is true.
Digital Services Act contact point
The Digital Services Act (Regulation 2022/2065) requires certain online services to name a contact point. B28 is non-custodial wallet software and does not host or moderate user content, so the platform obligations of the DSA do not generally apply to it. Even so, so that authorities of the Member States, the European Commission, and users can reach us by electronic means, our single electronic contact point is hello@joinb28.app. You may write to us in English or in Estonian.
Responsibility for content
B28 OÜ is responsible for the content of this website and of the B28 app. Where we link to third-party sites or services, we do not control them and are not responsible for their content; the responsibility lies with their respective operators.
Governing law, your consumer rights, and disputes
This imprint and your use of B28 are governed by Estonian law. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, that choice does not take away the protections guaranteed to you by the mandatory consumer law of your own country of residence (under the Rome I Regulation, 593/2008), and you keep the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your home country (under the Brussels I Recast Regulation, 1215/2012). We do not impose arbitration or a foreign court on you.
If something goes wrong, please contact us first at hello@joinb28.app so we can try to put it right. As required by the Estonian Consumer Protection Act, we will respond to a consumer complaint in writing within 15 days; if we cannot resolve it within that period, we will tell you why and give you a new time by which we will respond. If we cannot resolve a dispute together, a consumer in Estonia may turn to the Consumer Disputes Committee (Tarbijavaidluste komisjon) at the Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority; consumers in other EU countries may use their national consumer dispute resolution body. The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform was closed in July 2025 and is no longer available.
A note on risk
Crypto-assets are volatile and are not covered by any deposit guarantee or investor compensation scheme. B28 does not give investment, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for safeguarding your recovery phrase: if you lose it, no one, including us, can restore access to your funds.
