The basics
Is B28 live?
Yes. The wallet works today. You can hold, send, and receive crypto across 16 networks, talk to B28 in plain language, and rely on the Sentinel scam-shield to check a transaction before you sign it. The Visa card is still coming, and in-app convert is rolling out, with a live-rate preview available now.
Is B28 custodial? Do you hold my crypto?
No. B28 is non-custodial. Your keys are generated and stored on your own device, in its secure hardware behind your biometrics. We never hold, control, or access your funds. You can export your recovery phrase whenever you want. The flip side of real ownership: if you lose that phrase, we cannot recover it for you. Read more on self-custody.
Which networks and assets does B28 support?
B28 supports 16 networks: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Tron, Solana, XRP, TON, Stellar, and Cardano. Across those chains plus major tokens like USDC and USDT, that is around 48 assets in total.
Costs
What does B28 cost?
Holding and receiving are free. Sending is free from B28: you pay only the network's own fee, which goes to the blockchain, not to us. In-app convert carries a 0.85% B28 fee, reduced to 0.50% on the Ultra plan (this is rolling out). Buying crypto with a card goes through an on-ramp partner whose fee is shown before you confirm. Is the card available yet?
Not yet. The instant-convert Visa card is coming, and it is not live anywhere today. Its spending fees will be published when it launches. You can join early access from the download section to hear first.
Staying safe
How do I stay safe from scams?
B28's Sentinel speaks before you tap confirm. It screens the recipient address and the token against known scams, drainer approvals, look-alike "address poisoning", and honeypot tokens built so you can buy but never sell, and it warns you first. It cannot stop you from approving a transfer, but it makes sure you see the risk before you do.
What if I lose my phone?
Your funds are not stored on the phone, your keys are, and those keys are protected by your device's secure hardware and your biometrics. The way back in is your recovery phrase: write it down when you set up the wallet, keep it offline, and you can restore on a new device. Without it, no one, including us, can recover your wallet. Will the B28 assistant ever move my money on its own?
No. When you talk to B28 ("send 40 USDC to Ana"), it only prepares the action for you to approve with your fingerprint. It refuses to give buy or sell advice, it refuses to hold your keys, and it never moves money by itself.
